Clerks Care Community Outreach

Outreach banner

The Orange County Clerk of Courts works to provide our customers with exceptional and friendly service. We are passionate about contributing to our community, advocating, and bringing awareness to our local resources that benefit Orange County residents. We're proud to partner with Harbor House, the Mental Health Association of Central Florida, and the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) to name a few.

Our Impact

Our office loves to make a difference in the lives of others, each year we identify opportunities for our deputy clerks to volunteer and make donations through our annual service project and collaborations with community partners such as the Heart of Florida United Way.

The Clerk’s Office concentrates on three community outreach priorities that align with some of our core services.

Access to Justice

The Legal Matters Series was created as a resource to make legal information accessible to the public. The forums provide immediate information on a range of subjects with previous forums hosted on Child Support, Housing Law, Foreclosures, and the Self-Help Center.

All Legal Matters forums are free and open to the public to attend, they are hosted virtually and in different venues throughout Orange County. Stay Tuned for our next forum. To view recordings of previous webinars, check out our YouTube channel.

Customers may set up a virtual appointment with an attorney up to 1 hour per day, per person. The cost for an attorney consultation is $1 per minute.

The Center assists with the following case types: Family Law, Small Claims and Residential Evictions. Please visit our website for more information.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The Orange County Clerk of Courts is an advocate and a local resource for those who have been affected directly, or indirectly by domestic violence.

In recognition of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Clerk of Courts hosts an annual event focused on local and immediate resources available to the Orange County Community. In the past, we have partnered with Harbor House of Central Florida, the Mental Health Association of Central Florida and the Orlando Police Department.

All events are free and open to the public and are hosted in different locations around Orange County. Please visit our Family Service Tab and Click Injunction at myorangeclerk.com for our services.

Mental Health Awareness Month

During the month of May we focus on the importance of Mental Health Awareness in our community with our initiative #MyHealthMatters. All events are free and open to the public throughout Orange County.

The initiative is a collaborative partnership with multiple stakeholders to speak about the valuable resources locally available to assist our Orange County Residents. The events in the past have included health presentations, wellness screenings and giveaways with the Mental Health Association of Central Florida, Orlando Health, YMCA, and Cigna.

If you need assistance visit our Mental Health Tab on our website.

United Way

The Clerk of Courts raised $32,865 in our 2023 Heart of Florida United Way fundraising campaign, one of the largest amounts we've ever collected! From raffles, parking events, jeans day, pledges, and so much more, we are so proud of all the ways each of our clerk family members contributed to this year’s campaign.

We extend a special recognition to the Clerk's United Way committee for all their fundraising efforts. The money raised is included in Orange County’s grand total. We couldn’t have done it without all of our staff who pitched in by donating money, time, and a lot of hard work. Thank you to everyone who help each year to make our fundraising drive a success!
