The Clerk’s Office is an official acceptance center for Orange County domestic partnership registration affidavits. Domestic partnership registration affidavits are accepted in room 350 of the Orange County Courthouse or at any of our branch and service center locations.
To access a domestic partnership registration affidavit, visit the Orange County Comptroller's website, download the form and follow the attached instructions.
As the instructions indicate, you can return the completed form along with a recording fee to the Comptroller's Office. For your convenience, the Clerk's Office accepts the Domestic Partnership Registration Affidavit as well.
Simply bring a check or money order for the recording fee in the amount of $18.50 payable to the Orange County Comptroller.
The Clerk’s office can print the form for you, and if notary services are needed you can receive those at the downtown courthouse for an additional fee:
- Registration affidavit form: $1.50
- Notary: $3.50
