Coronavirus COVID-19 Update – Latest Closures & Information

As a reminder, the Orange County Clerk of Courts continues to limit in person services in order to safeguard customers and employees during COVID-19. Please read below for important information about closures, suspended services, what services are still available, and more.

The Florida Supreme Court has extended the suspension of jury trials through May 29, 2020 while the Orange County Clerk of Courts continues to limit in person services in order to safeguard everyone during COVID-19.

Closures – Until Further Notice

  • All branch locations in Winter Park, Ocoee, Apopka, and Goldenrod
  • Self Help Centers

Courthouse – Limited Public Access

The Orange County Courthouse in downtown Orlando remains open but with limited public access for essential hearings only, persons seeking restraining orders, and persons permitted with advanced notice by the Chief Judge and/or presiding judge.

Suspended Services

Service for marriage licenses and ceremonies are being suspended until further notice. The Clerk’s Office has set up a hotline to evaluate emergency situations for marriage licenses. Read these frequently asked questions to learn more. Para leer las preguntas frecuentes en español, haga clic aquí.

In alignment with the U.S. Department of State’s closure of passport agencies, the Clerk’s Office has suspended passport application services at all locations until further notice.

Filing

Cases can still be filed electronically via the Florida Courts E-filing Portal. Step by step instructions are available right from the E-portal website.

Make Payments

Payments for traffic tickets or criminal fines can be made right from our website. You can also find information about payment plans and other payment options.

Payments can also be made at any Amscot or Western Union location.

Registry Payments

While there is limited access to the courthouse, it is preferred that registry payments be made by money order or cashier’s check instead of cash. Payments can be mailed to:

Court Records

Public court records can be viewed right from the my e-clerk section of our website. Certified copies of court records, and marriage licenses can also be ordered here.

eMarriage

You can begin your marriage license application from the comfort of your home. The application can be filled out here. You have 60 days to complete the process in person at one of our offices.

Packets & Forms

Packets and forms for Civil and Family matters can be ordered and paid for right from our website’s shopping cart.
