Sand Lake Service Center Closing

The Clerk's Sand Lake Rd. Service Center"

Due to budget cuts, the Clerk’s Office is closing its Sand Lake Service Center effective Monday, November 6, 2017.

The closure is a cost-cutting measure that will help avoid layoffs, and it will have the smallest impact on customers who use our services.

The Sand Lake location had the lowest volume of customers when compared to all other Clerk offices. The four employees who work there will be relocated to other divisions to back fill key open positions.

“Year after year we continue to have our budget cut, so we had to make the tough decision to close this office,” said Clerk Tiffany Moore Russell. “It makes good business sense in order to streamline our operations.”

The Orange County Clerk of Courts budget was cut by another 3 percent for this fiscal year which was the fourth overall cut since fiscal year 2014.

The Sand Lake Service Center opened in February 2016 inside the Tax Collector’s office to serve citizens in the southern part of Orange County as a location to make payments, get driver’s licenses reinstated and apply for marriage licenses.

The Clerk’s Office still has 5 locations, including the downtown Orlando Courthouse, to serve customers. For details, visit our Locations page. We remind customers that they can always view public court documents and pay traffic tickets from this website.
