The Clerk’s Office is making it even easier to apply for your passport.

With four convenient locations throughout Orange County and extended evening hours at our three branch offices during March, it’s simple and convenient to get started.

We encourage you to make an appointment but walk-ins are welcome. Go to our Passport page for more information about appointments, details about locations, fees, and required documents.

BONUS TIPS!

  • Two forms of payment are required. The Clerk’s fee plus any photo or copying fees can be paid by cash, cashier’s check, money order, or major credit card. The Department of State’s fee can be paid by personal check, cashier's check, or money order only.
  • Process your passport early. Always keep in mind the processing times of up to 11 weeks (up to 7 weeks expedited) before planning your getaway, so plan ahead, visit us to submit your paperwork early.

Bring the following items when applying:
  • Proof of citizenship: includes a certified copy of your birth certificate or certificate of naturalization.
  • Proof of identity: includes a valid driver’s license or valid state identification card.
